Oil Leak 200 1991

Found another 240 wagon. When i opened the hood there was oil all over everything. standing on passenger side looking down at area of water pump, lots of oil leakage around tht area. Would the front seals be leaking that bad? If not what else might be the culprit? Right now I have a 86 245 with just over 400K on the clock. this car ONLY has about 150K (still brand new!!). Owner said that he turned off the engine went to start it up 10 minutes later and it wouldn't start. My guess...oil all over timing belt and it broke??? Didn't have any tools to pull back belt cover, but if the oil is coming from the seals that would make seem right?? Other than that car is in really good shape, as it sits $1500.00. Any other thoughs as to where this oil is coming from??
