High mileage motor oils 700 1990

Pennzoil and other manufacturer's now offer a high-mileage
motor oil, for vehicles with 75,000+ miles. They claim
that these oils "swell" the rubber engine seals, which
therefore function better.

If this is true, it seems to me that it would decrease the
life of these rubber seals. I imagine less-dense swollen
rubber would not have the density/life-span of unswollen
rubber.

What do you all think about these new motor oils?
