Gas smell but can't find a leak 700

1989 740 (NA)Yesterday it was about 70 degrees out here in Colorado Springs, and I was getting a strong gas smell in the car even with the windows open.

On cold days, like today (30 degrees) I don't smell it.

My gas mileage is good, 23 mpg, so it must be something small like a drip. Any ideas?
