stumbling fuel delivery 200 1978

1978 Bosch K-Jet... that means in-tank fuel pump, correct?

lately, if i accelerate hard ill get a stumble in the air/fuel mix. its hard to explain how it feels on the car, but it definitely feels like im not getting enough fuel in, or that its missing at quick revs once in awhile. also i have a groaning noise that sounds like its coming from the back. actually it sounds like i have two. one from the front (sounds to me like its near the alternator, which is what mystifies me), and another from the rear.

am i correct in thinking, or suspecting, this is a problem with the fuel pump?

i've used two bottles of FI cleaner in the past 2 or 3 months. the first bottle was a Castrol or other name brand cleaner, the second bottle was Amsoil PI. so my injectors should be in decent shape (although i know these in-the-bottle cleaners don't necessarily fix your problems).
