Fuse 7 blows when brake pedal and other electrical issues 200

i have several problems

1) whenever i press the brake pedal fuse number 7 blows. As a result, the shift lock does not funtion and i have to use the shift lock override to get the car in gear.

2) the dashboard bulbs do not light. they did not work for a while. then worked for a few days then off again - so i guess its electrical or a short also.

3) in addition none of the electric windows work. again sometimes they will work for a few hours then not. i suspect this is related also.

4) here is potentially a big clue - sometimes when the ignition key is removed the warning chine continues to ring - maybe something with the ignition
i would think its a sharp somewhere - but how do i find it.

sometimes i think there is a slight shock/static discharge when i touch the door as i get out of the car.

1) has only recently happened and is occuring with 2) and 3). in the past 2) and 3) have occurred on their own without the others

i assume its either a short or a bad ground - but how do i find it - any diagnostic pointers ?
