Huge Performance Boost - B230FX 200

Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd share some great cheap performance tips. I have a 1993 240 B230FX that was ver sluggish. The car is now great and really performs well. The main things are:

1. Air Filter - new air filter
2. Air Filter Thermostat - this was broken and only sucking hot air. It was removed and locked on cold air. (OK here as warm all year)
3. Air Mass Meter - the one fitted to this car had a fine grill at each end which restricts the air flow considerably. Both ends were removed and gave a huge boost.

Have also put a 2.25 Inch exhaust but this doesn't seem to have made a big difference but it may have. Cost was high for benefit though. Premium unleaded also adds some benefit.
