Additional cooling for 1990 745ti ??? 700

It seems to me that I heard somewhere that one can set up a boost activated switch to turn on the AC fan to blow air through the intercooler and radiator under boost. Has anyone heard of this or done it. The drag race and autocross season is upon us. National Trails Raceway opens this Wednesday. I plan on being there. Also, how high can you turn up the boost without major mods? I currently run 13psi. I have a K&N drop in filter, I've removed all the foam from the airbox, the boost is adjusted by a Dawes Devices controller. I've just added a RRFP regulator to keep from leaning out at boost. I have the IPD 2.5" cat back system. I've been monitoring things with AutoMeter calibrated boost and Air/Fuel ratio gauges. Any info appreciated.

Thanks ..............
Jim
