My 940 900 1995

Hello again!
You guys have such a great help in the past and I need it again.
My '95 940 is acting up again. I took it to my mechanic and he couldn't seem to find the problem in 1 day.
What it does is it sounds like it is going to stall out at a stop light AND when I take off from a light. It is idling a little rough, I notice the RPM gauge dips down every time it sputters. Now it doesn't do this continously during idle, it is semi random. ALso, while I am sitting at a light when it does this sputter thing the car actually tries to surge forward. It only does these thing into 1st gear when I am actually driving.
We have changed the fuel filter, adjusted the timing, changed the spark plugs, and the RPM sensor. I checked the fuel pump in the tank and I can hear it turn on and slosh the gas around.
ANY help you can provide is MUCh appreciated!!!!
