timing question-no compression B234F 700 1990


Well, It sure doesn't sound good, maybe it's just off enough to make it not run good... I'd make sure that crank bolt is in good, then stop the engine at TDC, then re-align everything on the timing and balance belts.... (If it's like my belt, I had white lines to line the marks up with)... I guess if the cams moved just a little in either direction, it is possible to get no compression, while not making a mashed pile of valves and piston..
