Corroded Brake Hoses Causing Jolts? 900 1993

I've been having a slight jolt to the left when applying the brakes. As such, I took to my mechanic and asked him to replace the front strut rod bushings - as the board would suggest.

He states that there doesn't seem to be a lot of wear in the front end components, but that it appears that the brake hoses may have some corrosion in them. As such, he thinks I'm getting restricted fluid flow at first, which is causing the jolt. The ABS light is also on. No diagnostics on that until after the hoses are replaced.

Is this a reasonable conclusion?

I know its offensive to the DIYers that I'm not doing it myself....Please forgive me!
