Thermostat housing seal? 120-130 1965

Hello all,
I'm replacing my thermostat on my '65 B18D. Do I apply Form-A-Gasket to bottom side of thermo only or both sides? Do I put it on the housingalso or make a gasket? Also, the grease cups on my front hubs are throwing grease onto my wheels. Can I put a little Form-A Gasket around them also?
