Driveline vibration 700

I just solved a driveline vibration broblem that had been bugging me for several weeks, ever since I replaced the driveshaft with one from a wreck to cure a bad center bearing. The vibration ocurred at a couple of speeds, like at 20 and then again at 30 mph. It seemed to be coming from the vicinity of the center bearing--I determined this by jacking up the car and putting it in gear at 20 mph (jackstands, wheel chocks, etc.). The rear axle was steady but the little plate to which the center bearing bolts was shaking away. By loosening the two 12mm bolts holding the bearing in place, and then sliding the bearing back and forth I found I could completely stop the vibration. I've test driven the car and the cure is good at any speed. Keep this one in mind, folks...
