Location for HVAC distribution Vaccum hose? 700 1992

Okay,

I have just bought a '92 745T (with all of the CA smog gear) and noticed that the HVAC distribution knob is not effecitve. Seems that the air is going to floor and defrost. Looked in FAQ and 1/2 of the answer was there. The 1/8 hose that goes through the fire wall is disconnected on the engine side. FAQ describes what I think is the location for the for the heater control valve hose, not the distribution control.

I found the hose (1/8 in. black with rubber end) hanging out under the distributer. I have looked high and low and can't find a nipple for it. Can anyone help??

Additionally, there is one nipple unused on the intake manafold. No hose or cap. The VAC diagram does not show anything going to it. It is the topmost nipple. Should this be capped? BTW The heater line cannot reach this nipple.

Thanks for any help!!

Bill
