adiator repair, quick fix versus doing it right? 700

Opinions & experience please

all metal radiator/'89 760 turbo; leak in the top tank. Do I pull the radiator and have the tank resoldered(the right way), or use a radiator "stop leak" product and hope it doesn't cause other problems later "sealing" the thermostat or something else?
