Need cam position sensor help. 900

With the help of this forum I was successful in changing the head gasket in my 960

Everything looked good inside and went back together with only one catch, due to my own foolishness I wiped out the cam pos. sensor.
Is it safe to use the car for a couple of days until I can get the part or do I run the risk of doing damage to anything else? It runs slightly rough but I figure this is due to the bad CMP. (Code 314) or dose it take the computer a wile to reset to normal like the old GMs?
If anyone would like the particulars on the head gasket change e-mail me and I would be glad to share what I learned.
