FPR Cost 700 1988

Hi Steve,
That`s expensive!
Go to the FAQ section of this site for details of how to resolder your relay printed circuit board. The soldered joints in the relay that carry the heavy pump current go bad in time.To prevent further problems you could just use the fuel pump relay to trigger an ordinary 30A accesory relay to handle the pump current.
If all else fails independent Volvo parts stockists in the UK or USA list these relays for half the price you have been quoted and I cannot see that shipping and duty could amount to nearly $70 Australian on such a low cost item.
See http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecommerce/Parts.asp
Alternatively try your local Bosch (they made these relays for Volvo) parts stockists who would probably be cheaper than Volvo.
Best of luck Colin.
