getting nuts: charging. 120-130 1965

Hi, I'm enventually back on the road with my '65 sedan. Great to have it driving again. Still needs a paintjob, but having it put together again & driving is already a treat. BUT: I have no idea about what's wrong with the charging light. Here's the story. Before cranking the engine, battery power (voltmeter reading) is around 12.9 - 13.1 V. After cranking, the voltage goes down arond .25 V & stays like that until I rev the engine. The AMP light is OFF by then. When revving the engine, readings go up to 14.9 - 15.1 V. It looks like its charging. But then, the AMP light goes & stays ON... Anyone has an idea??? I'm puzzled!

Thanks Séb
