Intermittent fuel pump... 200 1984

So is the car not starting?

Do both pumps run? You can hear the main pump under the car. The tank pump can be heard by opening the gas cap with the engine running.

My tank pump acted up recently. The car stalled once, then hesitated intermittently on the way to work. Turned out the #4 fuse disintegrated at one end. Didn't burn but looked like it just crumbled to pieces due to age. This caused poor connection and the intermittent pump problems. Replaced the fuse and all was good.
