Throttle Body Cleaner in Manifold? 200 1990

Thanks to the members of this board, I cleaned out my throttle body..Removed it, cleaned it, and replaced the gasket. It really wasn't dirty though..a good thing I guess. I looked in the manifold while the throttle body was off and wondered if i should spray some of the cleaner in there. (I didn't though tempting as it was to spit shine the inside)

I read on other web sites (re: other makes) that you can spray the inside of the attached throttle body into intake manifold with "throttle body cleaner" or "Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner." Supposedly this works very very well..Albeit with another vehicle. So why do us Volvo fanatics have to avoid keeping the cleaner out of the manifold and have to remove the throttle body to clean it?

See this site:

I know its for a Neon but why can't I use the same procedure for my 1990 240? Any bad effects to this procedure?

Regards,

JBW
