Hello all;

I have been blessed taking over a family treasure, a 240 dl 84 wagon non-turbo it has been passed to me that this car is iaw Cali emmisions. If I live in Va. ,where I do not need this, can I take off the smog pump and will it give me better engine performance? The car was purchased overseas
