Can't grease passenger side hinges. 120-130 1967

My driver's side door hinges have small holes in them which allow me to grease the moving joint. These holes are missing from my passenger side hinges which are rusty and stiff. I remember some discussion a ways back about adding these grease holes to hinges. How do I do it? How do you drill through the outside metal without hitting the pin? Any tips or tricks from folks who have performed this mod would be greatly appreciated. Or if you have a cool way of greasing the hinges without holes let me know.

Thanks,

mario m.
