Problem with carburettor? 200 1981

244 1981, Zenith 175CD Carburettor

Hard starting in the morning. Recently I posted this on the board and was told to check the vacuum lines. I did that and changed two lines that were obviously cracked but remained in place.

The situation did not improve. I went on to change the timing belt which gave me one hell of trouble, which Peter, Warren and Tom helped solved. I've read somewhere on this board that it could be the carburettor float.

How do I pour liquid into the float and when do I stop pouring?
What liquid do I pour in anyway?

Appreciate all your suggestions and advice.

Thanks in advance.
