coolant expansion cap: green to replace black? 700 1985

brickers:

This relates to another post, but I figured I'd toss it up on its own since it's a specific question.

I have a black cap on the coolant expansion tank that I beleive is shot. Looking around online at importec and thepartsbin I have only found the green cap listed for my model and year. Just want to be sure that:

green cap, part #G1040-62115

can be used for a 1985 745t, and that it won't cause more problems than it solves. The black cap I have has "75 kPa" typed on it, while the green one has "150 kPa". What's the difference... is a higer ratng better or will it fail to open when necessary to save my radiator?

Thanks in advance for the help.

pic of teh green cap is below... much more "advanced" looking than my old black one...
