My timing's got the jitters 200

Hello all,

Here's the deal, I'm trying to solve a slight pinging under light load.

84 B23F auto Bosch dist. knock sensor has been changed (89 octane R\M+2)

(1) At idle the timing mark spends most of the time at 10 degrees BTDC, but jumps around from about 12 to 8 degrees BTDC.

(2) The timing advances to 38 or 40 degrees BTDC at 2000 rpm's, is this to much
to soon?

(3) Also the distributor is frozen into the block. Whats the fix for this?

Thanks for any help possible
