On my 87 760 with the B280E engine the VIN plate is on the front of the engine, R.H. side. If you regard the plate as a table, the colour code is in the second column, third row. On mine it reads 402-2 (blue green metallic). Hope you find it. Here in UK some paintshops will mix up the paint and put it in an aerosol can. Also you need the clear top lacquer.
