Transmission Problems & Stalling 700 1985

Try these as cheap fixes:
-Inspect the kickdown cable for kinks, frayed ends, and poor adjustment. Replacing this is not a big deal. A bad kickdown cable usually causes delayed shifts which can be, depending on rpm, quite harsh.
-Flush all the fluid out and replace it, per instructions in the FAQ. This may clean gunk in the valve body out and will certainly improve longevity.
