Big Plastic Thing 700 1989

That would be called the "Splash Pan", and sometimes the "Engine Protection Pan". It is intended to protect the engine from getting... splashed. I've driven with it hanging for a while, but my imagination tells me it's not exactly good for your engine to drive without it, much less for the chance that water will crack your block, but much more so that your engine could be susepted to more dirt, grime, and parts that fall off japanese cars.

Uh... Yeah... I didn't shop around or anything for you, so you may wish to do your own research, but I found it for $25.88 (+ S+H) from a place I will not mention the name of since I bought a pair of sidemarkers from them in February, and STILL havn't seen them.
