P1800 Restoration update 1800

Hello Friends,
Just a quick update...I have the car pretty much gutted with the exception of the tranny, driveline and braking system. I have left the entire wiring harness in because it looke pretty good. The car will be going for a complete (exterior) bead blast within probably two weeks. The guy who is doing it says if I want we can tape up the wires and he'll ensure it does not get damaged. I'm not sure if the wiring is original as the car was doctor owned and restored in the 80's before the engine mount blew and the car was parked until I got it. Is there some reliable points I should check (beside the obious) to tell if I should just rip it out and buy a new (and costly) one?

Thanks,
Make it a great day!!
Papawheelie
