I have a 1986 245 and am thinking of buying a more recent car of the same model.
I have spotted two 1991 245 for sale which have equal or superior mileage mileage to mine. I was wondering to what extent one could be a source of spare parts for my current car or vice versa the basic engine and body panels are apparently the same but the electronics are different. Also the 1991s are equipped with non functionning air conditionning gear which greatly clutters up the engine compartment. Is the coolant for these still available and what is the likely cost of gettting the A/C to work.If igive up onthe AC i there a way to eaily remove the useless hardware.
One of the 1991 has 300 000 km on it and the owner says that no major work has been done on it other than changing the timing belt and brake rotors. What are the chances that icould puton more kilometers on without to much expensive repairs
