where is the brake light switch/sensor 200 1990

I have the Volvo WDM for 1987-88, not for 1990, but maybe this will help.

The brake light switch is mounted in the brake pedal area. It is set so that the switch is opened when the pedal is released.

The wiring is from fuse #7 a green/red wire to the switch. From the switch a Blue-red wire goes to the Bulb Failure Warning Sensor (aka BFWS). From the BFWS you get blue-black to the hi-level light, yellow-green to the LH light, and yellow to the right side.

If you have cruise control, that system ties into the brake light switch to drop out the CC when the pedal is pushed. There may be other wires there.

Hope this helps.

Bob
