Clutch petal return is 'retarded' 700 1989

Hello all,

I have an '89 740 Turbo. It has had a new clutch about a year ago, and the clutch works great, shifting is smooth and strong. However, as of late I have noticed something. After depressing the clutch petal repeatedly, the petal itself gets closer and closer to the floor. I have to actually pull the petal back up with my foot to get it at the normal start position. Any idea what would cause this, and how I would go about fixing it? I looked under the hood at the cable and clutch fork, all looks to be in good shape. The clutch does engage where it should, near the top of the petal travel. I was looking for the cable adjustement bolt- where exactly is that?

Thanks in advance!

Terrence
