Headlights 700 1985

Having problems with my headlights. Headlights and parking lights come on when the switch is in the parking light position; nothing comes on when you move the switch to the headlight position. I read the FAQ and my car doesn't seem to have a headlight relay, the only other thing it could be is the switch, right? Or is the relay in a different location? The car can still be driven the way it is but I just want things to work properly. Thanks for any advice.
