Dear Bricksters,

Does the "exhaust system" officially start with the header pipe?

What is the common sequence of events in the demise of the 240 exhaust system (i.e. does a loose header pipe cause rattling which causes exhaust leaks) ?

What I'm getting at is....what is the achilles heal of each part of the exhaust system?

And, what to ask for when repairing the header pipe (or brackets) so that i don't end up in the shop soon again working on the exhaust....it is exhausting, so to speak.
