I agree with Jarrod. I tried my impact wrench, but after loosening the nut a little, the strut shaft started to spin with it. The nut is a lock nut, it's designed to grip the threads on shaft so it can't vibrate loose.

I've done two sets of struts with my Lisle tool. I can't imagine breaking it, it's a pretty hefty piece of metal.

Finished getting the new KYB's in the '89 yesterday. They're OK, but nothing like the Bilstiens in my '90.
