Hardwire my Inhibitor switch??? Is this O.K.??? 700

My starter inhibitor switch is toast--- i'm positive...

I can't afford to replace it right now.

Is it a bad idea to hardwire the wires leading to the switch ( when i get a new switch I can just unplug the old one at the connector and replace it all, cut wires and switch.)

Is this a really bad idea????

I just got this puppy up and running and this minor problem is driving me nuts!!!!!! The car is running beautifully , when it starts that is...
