How to remove speedometer needle to change gauge face? 200 1993

I've got a '93 with the matte black gauge faces - I'd like to put in a large tach, but I can't find one to match the matte black. I do have a few non-matte black tachs, speedometers and fuel and temp gauges, though, so if I used those everything would match. I can't just change the speedo, though, because the '92-93 is different than other models, so I thought I could just replace the face. It's just held on with 2 screws, but the needle needs to come off to remove it. I sure don't want to break it - does anyone know how it comes off?
