swaybar question 200 1986

ok, here's what happened today. I went to the Volvo graveyard in Guelph, Ontario today to get a rear swaybar from a turbo. So after 45 minutes, I got one off an '84 turbo wagon. So when i go to size it up, it is only 19mm, while as far as i can tell the one on mine is 20mm('86 240DL sedan). From all that I've read, mine should be a 19mm and the turbo one should've been 21mm. Any guesses? I didn't buy the bar, but I'm just confused. Did they use thinner swaybars on canadain models(mine is american). Just wondering. What cars WOULD have a thicker swaybar on the rear? thanks for any help!
