wind noise and big a** mirrors 200 1986

Actually I think the opposite is true. Most cars have switched to those big "dumbo ears" because they are more aerodynamic, and make less wind noise. The space between the turbo mirrors and the door just creates wind turbulance, making more noise. I have both types, but I can't comment on the noise because the Turbo is in general much noisier than my 89. (mainly because of a bad sunroof gasket)
