Lowering springs....is it a must to replace struts/shocks... 200

It's important to use shocks that are at least a slightly higher damping rate.
If you are putting Bilsteins on the back you really need to balance the car
with Bilsteins or a comparable shock for the front. After all while you're in there it's easy to replace the strut insert. Stock inserts are not adequate to
dampen the lowering springs in my opinion. Put Bilsteins in the front also
and you are done with your shocks and springs for a long time. Lowering springs
with Bilsteins is what I run on my car and they have been great and I already
have 100k on the Bilsteins and they feel like new. The springs now have about
50k on them and I'm very happy with a lowered stiffer car.
