FI to carb - what should I do for fuel? 140-160

I haven't done a conversion from FI to carb before and I am wondering what I should do with the fuel system. Can the current regulator be used to supply to correct pressure for the carb. Wouldn't the fuel pump I have now be way overkill for pressure needs, but does it matter. Any expierience or advice is greatly appreciated.
