Just found this out ...good hint for 940 owners. (91 940T) 900

My 91 940T started trying to catch on the back edge of the hood right at the cowl. I sprayed the hinges with WD40, and she smoothed out, and no more catching.

I did not think anything more about it. Well, I wrecked the 91, bought me a 94 940T (91 still to be fixed). The 94 had a bent down spot just at the back edge and in the middle portion of the hood. I thought it was where a mechanic may have left some tools, and closed the hood. Today I stop by my favorite shop, and Mike tells me that 940's are bad to catch (like the 91 was doing) and do just what I now see on my 94 ..a bent edge right at the back of the hood.

WD40 those hinges so as to hopefully prevent this from happening to your 940.
