Runaway 164 140-160 1969

Thanks George for the reply.
Since this all happened at the repair shop lot, I was able to get the mechanic that worked on it to look at it again. And I showed him the three-foot skid marks. He couldn't find anything wrong (that's why I'm looking for your's and anyone else's help on this. I certainly don't intend to pay for shoddy and even life-threatening work. he drove it for about 30 minutes after that without further incident and I took it home safely. This was after shop closing time, I might add. Tomorrow will be another story.
With any info I can aquire over the various Volvo threads out there, I'll be on the phone with the shop mgr. (I paid with Amex, so I really don't worry).

Next week I plan on taking it to a mechanic I found on the Brickboard (Bill's
Only Volvo Shop in Crawfordsville, IN - only 350 miles away from me in Nashville, TN. you would think somebody closer than that could do this work correctly, wouldn't you? I'll post my results.
Thanks,
