86 240gl timing belt boo boos 200 1986

Hello everyone!
What a fantastic forum!
I'm hoping someone can help me before i blow a whole bunch of hard earned cash trying to get my Volvo running smooth again...
I bought the 86 240gl with 218k kms on ti and sure enough 2 ddays after i took it home the timing belt commited suicide... I replaced the belt and adjusted a half dozen times and it still idles rough and isn't near as smooth through the power range anymore. After reading (and purchasing) 3 different manuals and talking to the local dealership noone can confirm whether or not the 230f is an interferrence motor or not... hence my problem, Did it bend a valve or am I having an injector/other problem?
Any help would be appreciated. (I have worked on several volvos including portmatching and minor performance mods).
Thankyou for any and all help!
