89 740 Ti no-start 700 1989

Here is the problem..last Mon. started car and drove about a block, came back car would not start! What I have done: verified spark, checked pumps by grounding out under dash at over pressure switch. relay(by date on it) is about 1 year old.I have looked at the FAQ's but they are a little confusing to me.
It did start on its own about a day later and then quir again a day or two later. Can someone tell me what to do next? FYI I do not have a pressure tester but heard that you can build one? How?

Thanks
Rick
