940 stalling problem 900 1992

When it stalls on the highway have you noticed what the tach does? If you see the tach immediately drop to zero I would suspect that perhaps the RPM sensor is malfunctioning.

The fuel pump relay is easy to deal with. Just remove it and take off the cover and resolder the connections on the board. A magnifying glass might reveal defective solder joints but soldering them all is easy enough. I'm sorry I can't tell you for sure where your relay is. I "think" it is on the extreme left hand side of the second row of the relay tray which I "think" is under your ashtray. I haven't had the opportunity to move to the 900 series yet. If someone sees this as incorrect I hope they will bring it to our attention.
