Engine not starting! 200 1980

It sounds like it could be a few things...
some ideas:

a slow crankover could be the result of a bad contact when the solenoid is drawn back by the ignition circuit, thus not allowing full current to reach the starter. Your best idea however is to try another battery, and wait for a start condition. How old is your battery right now?
