'90 740t cooling issues 700

I have a '90 740t. The upper hose connector broke on my rad and it over heated a bit, but I shut if off almost immediately. I jerry rigged it up so that it would hold water ok and filled 'er up and drove it home... it got a little hot towards the end of the trip, but not too bad. I changed the radiator and now something leaks, but I cannot pinpoint it. Any ideas of what could have warped or broke it's seal? In the process of removing the old rad. I twisted the return tranny line in half, so I had to patch it up, but it seams fine, I don’t believe any of the hoses or main areas of the radiator are leaking. The leaking is erratic as well, one time it'll be 2-3 cups of water, and other times none at all. It seams to be something under the engine, not anything in the front or on top.

Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
