center arm rest... 200

Last summer I bought a Husco center armrest for my '92 240.

I had a mixed reaction to it. Overall, was OK. Sturdy unit, mounts well, looks pretty good. IMO looks much better than the factory unit that mounts with the two vertical metal straps--always thought that was a pretty inelegant solution.

Unfortunately, however, the cup holder is very flimsy. The slide out part with the two holes for the cups is thin plastic, and it mounts rather loosely in its track; combining these two points, the cup holder sags significantly when you have a beverage in the front hole (the one that sticks out farthest from the body of the armrest). It really only works well with the cup holder extended halfway, with just one hole showing, and one beverage in it. Sort of defeats the purpose of having two holes.

I suppose I could try to shim it to make the slide part fit better, but for the
$$ it costs I shouldn't have to.

If you buy one, be careful in mounting it. Unit has an interior brace made of aluminum, and the lower back edge of the brace can cut wires that come out of the console and lay across the tranny hump. Probably will need to trim the back by 1/4" or so, at least I did.
