Calling all boardmembers that have done the auto trans flush themselves.

I believe that you attach the hose to the threaded nipple on the radiator after you remove the top line to the transmission.

Yes, it comes out faster than you can pour it in. I use clear plastic hose so as it is pumping out I can see when it is running out of fluid by all the air bubbles that form in the hose. At that point you turn off the engine and add the quantity of fluid that has been discharged into the container. Start the engine again and let it pump until air shows in the tubing. Turn it off, add fluid, etc. I pump out 6 or seven quarts. Reattach the line and carefully top up the fluid. Take the car for a drive and then check it when you get back and bring it to the full "hot" mark if necessary. I also take the car for a drive before the exchange of fluid so I can flush it hot.

You can certainly find something more fun to do with your $100.
