AMM / MAF 4v Burn-off Cleaning Cycle

Brad,

I'm familiar with the -002 model used with LH2.0. The input pin for the burnoff signal is not voltage critical, in other words it switches a fixed voltage change in the hot wire just the same if you apply 4 volts (the ECU provides about that from its +5 through 4.7K and 825 ohm resistors) or if you just short the pin to the 12V supply pin next to it. It actually switches at about 2.7 V.

No other switching is needed; leave power and ground in place. In its application the "main" relay keeps it powered during the burnoff cycle delay after ignition is shut off.

Are you making an anemometer or trying to improve someone elses fuel injection?

P.S. If you're using this for what it was meant for, and you manually execute burnoff while the engine is running, you will likely dump fuel, as the AMM's output increases as the voltage to the hot wire.
